Yango Group, a player in the mobility sector in Cameroon for over four years, has announced the end of its collaboration with Mr. Awana Ateba Michel, who was acting as a consultant through ENANGUE HOLDING SARL. This collaboration, focused on administrative coordination issues, began in 2023 and ended in 2024, marking a step in the evolution of the company's strategy in the country.
Yango Group has expressed its appreciation for the support provided by Mr. Awana Ateba Michel during this period of collaboration.
At the same time, Yango Group confirmed the appointment of Ms. Elodie Filopon as Public Policy Manager for French-speaking Africa. Ms. Filopon will now be responsible for managing public affairs and government relations for Yango Group in Cameroon and the region. Her experience and in-depth knowledge of the African regulatory environment are considered major assets for the company.
Dr. Clovis Pilla, Country Manager of Yango in Cameroon, will also continue to play a key role in institutional and regulatory interactions. This reorganization comes as Yango Group, headquartered in Dubai, continues to expand its operations in Africa and in more than 30 countries worldwide. The company offers a range of services from ride-hailing to parcel delivery, including fintech solutions. In Cameroon, Yango has been operating since 2021 and has established itself as a major player in urban mobility in Douala and Yaoundé.
Yango Group highlights its commitment to local economic development, emphasizing the creation of thousands of direct and indirect jobs and its partnership with more than 150 Cameroonian transport companies. The company works closely with the Cameroonian government to contribute to a safe and regulated environment in the transport sector. In 2025, Yango renewed its operating license for five years with the Ministry of Transport.
