A delegation from UBA Cameroon visited the construction site of the future headquarters of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) on January 30, 2026, accompanied by FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto'o. This visit allowed the bank's representatives to see the progress of the work and reaffirm their support for the project.
The UBA Cameroon delegation, led by Mr. Leonel AJEAGAH, Director of Risks, was able to assess the progress of the construction on site. This visit was an opportunity to reiterate UBA Cameroon's commitment as a key partner of FECAFOOT in the realization of this ambitious project.
The new FECAFOOT headquarters is designed to be a symbol of modernity, ambition and good governance for Cameroonian football. UBA Cameroon is actively supporting the federation in making this vision a reality. The partnership between UBA Cameroon and FECAFOOT has lasted since 2022 and aims to strengthen relations between the two institutions.
UBA Cameroon signed a partnership agreement with the University of Maroua in July 2024, with the aim of improving access to financial services for students, faculty and support staff. The bank is committed to providing innovative banking products and services to promote financial inclusion and support the educational community.
In December 2021, Samuel Eto'o was elected head of FECAFOOT. His election was marked by a desire to modernize the federation and strengthen its governance. However, his mandate has also faced challenges, including allegations of mismanagement.
Despite these challenges, Samuel Eto'o was re-elected as head of FECAFOOT in December 2025. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving Cameroonian football and defending the country's interests.
The construction of the new FECAFOOT headquarters, supported by UBA Cameroon, represents an important investment in the future of Cameroonian football. This project aims to provide the federation with modern and functional infrastructure, capable of meeting the challenges of modern football.
