With this win, DR Congo has accumulated 6 points in two matches, securing their own qualification for the U17 AFCON. RCA and Gabon, with zero points, can no longer mathematically catch up with Cameroon and DR Congo in this qualifying tournament.
Cameroon will face DR Congo, the host country of the UNIFFAC tournament, on the final day. This match will determine the winner of the tournament. The match will take place at the Tata Raphaël Stadium in Kinshasa.
The U17 Lions have had a flawless run so far in this UNIFFAC tournament. They defeated Gabon (5-1) in their first match and then RCA (2-0) in their second match. The team will try to finish in style by winning the title against DR Congo.
The U17 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco. The COSAFA zone qualifiers will be held in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 11 to 20 September 2025. The top 10 teams from the U17 AFCON will qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
