Saidou Alioum, the coach of the U17 Lions, led his team to an impressive victory, winning all their matches, including the final against the host country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, with a score of 2-0. This victory enabled Cameroon to secure its ticket to the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN U17) which will take place in Morocco in 2026.
FECAFOOT has assured that it will closely monitor the preparation of the U17 Lions for the CAN U17 Morocco 2026 and that it will provide full support for the upcoming international deadlines. Morocco was designated as the host country for the 2026 U17 AFCON at the CAF Executive Committee meeting on December 16, 2024.
