Cameroonian midfielder Frank Zambo Anguissa is once again the focus of attention from Turkish club Beşiktaş JK, which is looking to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season. The Istanbul-based club has reportedly submitted an initial offer of around €15 million to SSC Napoli to secure the player's services. However, Napoli is said to be expecting at least €20 million before considering a transfer.
Zambo Anguissa, 30, is under contract with Napoli until June 2027, with an option for an additional year. Initially arriving on loan in 2021 from Fulham, the Cameroonian quickly impressed with his physical impact and technical quality. Napoli then exercised the purchase option for around €16 million.
After an injury-disrupted 2025-2026 season, Zambo Anguissa featured in 22 matches in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. His athletic profile and experience make him an ideal target for the Turkish club.
Although Napoli is open to a possible departure of the player to finance a squad overhaul, negotiations could accelerate if the two clubs reach a compromise on the transfer fee. Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah is also reportedly interested in the Cameroonian midfielder.
Zambo Anguissa joined Napoli in 2021 and helped the club win two Serie A titles. A Cameroonian international since 2017, he has played 67 matches with the Indomitable Lions and participated in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and several Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
