Armand Noutack II launched a personal attack against Jean-Bruno Tagne on his Meta page, referring to his physical appearance. "Jean-Bruno Tagne, I wasn't there when God was handing out 'sizes', so I'm not responsible for your frustration (1m20)," he wrote. This sharp jab was widely interpreted as mocking the journalist's short stature.
Noutack also accused Tagne of defamation and ingratitude towards Samuel Eto'o, claiming that Tagne had written a damning book against Eto'o, then agreed to become his campaign director, before finally being dismissed. He mocked the fact that Tagne complained about not having received anything in return, calling this attitude shameful.
Jean-Bruno Tagne, former head of the political desk at the daily newspaper Le Jour and former deputy director general of Canal 2 International, is currently the Deputy Director General of the online media outlet NAJA TV. He is also the author of several books, including investigations into Cameroonian football and an essay on electoral fraud. In December 2023, he published a book entitled "L'Arnaque" (The Scam), criticizing Samuel Eto'o's management of the Cameroonian football federation (FECAFOOT).
Armand Noutack II, for his part, is known for his often critical stances towards Cameroonian political and social actors. A former activist of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC), he does not hesitate to express his opinions on social media, sometimes in a virulent manner.
