According to the statement, the child left the school on May 25, 2026, at 1:40 PM, and it was only later in the afternoon that the parents returned to report the situation. The administration specifies that the school had already closed, but the child's mother was able to meet with the coordinator.
On May 26, 2026, starting at 5:00 AM, the parents barricaded the school entrance, temporarily blocking access. The administration says they understand the family's distress but deplore this action, which disrupts the school environment for other children.
An investigation is underway by the Odza gendarmerie brigade following a complaint filed. The school claims to be fully cooperating with the authorities and to have transmitted all surveillance videos and required information. The administration emphasizes that at this stage of the investigation, there is no proof that the incident occurred within the school or during school hours.
"We urge the media and the public to exercise restraint and allow the judicial authorities to conduct their investigation," declares the general management of GSB La Gloire Olympique. The school reiterates its commitment to maintaining a safe and protective environment for all children entrusted to its care.
