The village of Siga Bonjo, located in the Nkam department of the Littoral region in Cameroon, is set to become a global scrabble hotspot. After hosting the second edition of the Super Masters, the locality is preparing to level up by organizing an international tournament, the "Grand Chelem International," scheduled for 2027.

The announcement of this prestigious tournament was made during the opening ceremony of the Super Masters in March 2026. Amédée Assomo, president of both the Cameroonian Scrabble Federation and the International Federation of Francophone Scrabble (FISF), expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, for his unwavering support.

"We are going to take it to the next level next year," declared Amédée Assomo. He specified that Siga Bonjo will host the world's top 50 players for an elite duplicate competition. The event is expected to attract high-ranking personalities, including ambassadors and ministers, promising to highlight the region.

Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, Minister of Sports and traditional chief of the village of Bona'Anja Siga Bonjo, reaffirmed his commitment to making Siga Bonjo a leading tourist destination. The organization of this Grand Chelem International is part of this vision, aiming to boost local development through major sporting events.

While awaiting the kickoff of this major event in 2027, Siga Bonjo continues to honor scrabble, a word game synonymous with intellectual competition and international recognition.
