Cameroonian defender Samuel Kotto has officially signed a permanent contract with Stade de Reims, extending his stay with the club until 2030. Kotto, 22 years old, initially joined the French club on loan in January 2026 from K.A.A. Gent.

Following the completion of his transfer, Kotto expressed his delight at continuing with Stade de Reims. He thanked the club, the president, and the staff for the trust they have placed in him, pledging to do everything to justify it on the field.

Kotto also shared his impressions of his first months at the club, emphasizing that he has learned and progressed a lot. He mentioned having had the chance to play regularly, immerse himself in the club's culture, and understand what Reims represents in French football. Despite a disappointing end to the season for the team, Kotto stated that it strengthens his determination for next season.
