As a reminder, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril was replaced on March 17, 2026, by Théodore Datouo after 34 years as head of the National Assembly. Marcel Niat Djifendji was replaced in the Senate by Aboubakary Abdoulaye. Niat Njifenji was first elected President of the Senate in 2013, and re-elected in March 2025.
