The Panthère Sportive du Ndé football club has formally denied reports that it has been acquired by Samuel Eto'o, president of FECAFOOT. Gelis Djapom, Chairman of the Board (PCA) of the club, spoke out to refute these allegations.
The origin of these rumors is a publication by Boris Bertolt, a whistleblower, who claimed that Samuel Eto'o had added Panthère du Ndé to his list of club acquisitions, after Dynamo de Douala. Bertolt also claimed that Eto'o had offered to buy Renaissance de Ngoumou, but had met with opposition from Michel Ateba and other personalities.
Bertolt's publication quickly ignited social media, sparking strong reactions. Faced with this agitation, Gelis Djapom issued a statement to clarify the situation. He categorically denied the rumors, insisting that the club belongs to the entire community.
Panthère Sportive du Ndé is a historic club in the Ndé region of Cameroon. In December 2024, the club faced salary claims from its players, who were demanding four months of unpaid wages. The PCA, Gelis Djapom, then stated that the players' contracts did not cover the preparation period. Despite these occasional financial difficulties, the club aims to move up to the first division and shine in the Coupe du Cameroun.
