Yves Clément Arroga's resignation from his position as coach of Panthère du Ndé continues to generate reactions. Gelis Djapom, the chairman of the club's board of directors, has publicly disputed the reasons given by the former coach. In a statement released a few days after Arroga's departure was announced, Djapom claims that the club has respected its contractual commitments to the coach.

According to Gelis Djapom, Yves Clément Arroga enjoyed quite honorable working conditions. "Coach Arroga benefited from high-standard accommodation, a service vehicle and 100,000 FCFA of monthly fuel, which the latter did not mention in his resignation letter," he said in the statement. These benefits, according to the chairman of the board of directors, were not mentioned by Arroga in his resignation letter, which raises questions about the transparency of his motivations.

The issue of unpaid salaries, the central point of contention, was also addressed by Djapom. Contrary to Arroga's claims, who mentioned salary arrears for the months of January, February and March 2026, the chairman of the board of directors assures that the coach's salary was paid regularly. "As for his salary, it is transferred to his account every month-end and the month of March 2026, contrary to what he claims, was still in progress at the time of his resignation," he said.

These statements by Gelis Djapom offer a different perspective on the reasons for Yves Clément Arroga's departure. They highlight a difference in views between the two parties as to compliance with contractual commitments. This situation once again illustrates the management challenges faced by many football clubs in Cameroon, where financial and contractual issues are often a source of tension.

Gelis Djapom's version directly contradicts Yves Clément Arroga's justifications, suggesting a deep disagreement over the reality of the facts. Time will tell whether other elements will shed light on this matter, which highlights the persistent difficulties in Cameroonian football.
