Just days after being selected by Carlo Ancelotti to represent Brazil at the World Cup, this injury raises questions about his physical condition. Rodrigo Zogaib, coordinator of the Santos health center, confirmed a slight inflammation in the calf, estimating his unavailability between five and ten days.
Although this absence is short-lived, it raises concerns about Neymar's ability to maintain his rhythm until the World Cup. The player has been regularly disrupted by injuries in recent seasons.
Carlo Ancelotti, who took over the Brazilian team in May 2025, had included Neymar in his list, counting on his experience and talent. The Italian coach has reportedly imposed strict physical and disciplinary requirements, which Neymar has accepted. Ancelotti even extended his contract until 2030.
