A new twist in the Miss Cameroon 2025 affair. Josiane Golonga, freshly dismissed from her title, was arrested by the police in Yaounde. The incident occurred barely 24 hours after the official announcement of her dismissal.
The former beauty queen had gone to the headquarters of COMICA (Organizing Committee of Miss Cameroon) to recover her personal belongings and return the attributes related to her mandate. She was accompanied by a bailiff to ensure the regularity of the procedure.
According to testimonies, an altercation broke out on the spot in the presence of Mrs. Ingrid Amougou. Tense verbal exchanges, marked by insults and disparaging remarks, allegedly preceded the intervention of law enforcement. The incident reportedly occurred as Josiane Golonga was preparing, according to her entourage, to finalize the restitution of the assets related to her title.
A point of disagreement seems to focus on a vehicle, for which Josiane Golonga is accused of stealing the key. Her supporters point out that the car was accessible and in working order, fueling questions about the merits of this accusation.
Josiane Golonga was taken to a police station. While some sources indicate the Messamendongo police station, others mention that of Odza, two neighborhoods near Yaounde.
