The French oil group Maurel & Prom announced a net income attributable to the Group of $410 million for the year 2025, marking a 72% increase compared to the previous year. This performance comes despite a decrease in consolidated sales, which amounted to $578 million, a 29% decrease compared to the $808 million recorded in 2024.

The decrease in sales is mainly explained by the fall in the average oil selling price, as well as a negative impact of $42 million related to lifting differences and inventory revaluations. The average selling price per barrel was $69.4 in 2025, compared to $80.3 in 2024.

EBITDA, which measures actual operational performance, also contracted by 32% to $249 million. However, consolidated net income jumped 74% to $428 million, thanks to an exceptional gain of $287 million from the sale of a 20.07% stake in Seplat Energy. Excluding this exceptional gain, the group's ordinary consolidated net income would have been only $166 million, down 35% compared to 2024.

Total Maurel & Prom production stood at 37,096 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2025, a slight increase of 2% compared to the previous year. However, there are regional differences. In Gabon, oil production decreased by 6% to 14,662 barrels per day, affected by export problems in the second half of the year. Natural gas production in Tanzania also decreased by 3%. Only Venezuela saw a significant increase, with a 34% increase to 8,194 barrels per day.

The Board of Directors will propose the payment of a dividend of €0.38 per share, up 15% compared to last year, payable in August 2026, representing a total amount of approximately $90 million. For 2026, the group anticipates an increase in its production, which is expected to reach approximately 42,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day, thanks to the ramp-up of its operations in Venezuela and Colombia, as well as the development of its projects in Africa.
