Trabzonspor's vice-president, Zeyyat Kafkas, confirmed the Turkish club's interest, while emphasizing that Manchester United's asking price represents a major financial obstacle. "The price offered by Manchester United for the purchase of André Onana was in the €45-50 million range, and our President sincerely informed the club about the realities of Trabzonspor," Kafkas stated.
Despite this situation, Onana remains a sought-after player in the transfer market due to his past performances, particularly at Inter Milan and with the Indomitable Lions. However, Manchester United appears ready to move on and could part ways with the Cameroonian goalkeeper in the next transfer window.
Onana's contract with Manchester United runs until 2028, with a weekly salary of approximately $164,000. If no buyer emerges, the club may consider further loans to reduce its wage bill. Furthermore, Manchester United has reportedly reached an agreement for the transfer of Altay Bayindir to Besiktas, signaling a restructuring of its goalkeeping squad.
