La Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo has strongly contested the refereeing decisions during the Cameroon Super Cup match against Panthère du Ndé. The club even left the field to protest a penalty awarded to their opponent, an action that sparked strong reactions in the Cameroonian football world.

In an official statement, the leaders of Colombe expressed their outrage at what they consider unfair refereeing. They stated that they made the decision to withdraw their players from the stadium as a sign of protest against refereeing that they deem biased and unacceptable. The club is calling on FECAFOOT to intervene to restore justice and preserve the image of Cameroonian football.

The Secretary General of Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo informed the club's supporters and sympathizers of the incident that occurred during the Champions Trophy match on February 26, 2026, at the military stadium in Yaoundé. He stressed that the management team understood the disappointment of the supporters who came out in large numbers to encourage their team.

According to the club, this is not the first time that such situations have occurred. Colombe claims that during their two recent matches against Panthère du Ndé, unjustified penalties were awarded to their opponent after influential figures from Ndé visited the referees at half-time. These refereeing decisions, including a questionable red card given to the team captain, are seen as blatant evidence of bias.

La Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo claims to be a victim of these refereeing decisions and appeals to FECAFOOT to restore fairness. The club reiterates its commitment to the values of fair play and its respect for the governing bodies of Cameroonian football.

FECAFOOT reacted to the incident by issuing a statement on February 27, 2026, indicating that information relating to the incident had been compiled and forwarded to the relevant committees for analysis. FECAFOOT recalled that only the referee's authority is empowered to assess technical decisions and that any challenge must follow regulatory procedures. The body also stressed that the decision on the validation of the match, the possible awarding of the trophy and disciplinary sanctions rests solely with the judicial bodies.

Pending the official conclusions, FECAFOOT calls on players and supporters to remain calm.
