The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has released the final lists of players and technical staff qualified to participate in the Guinness Super League 2025-2026. This announcement marks a significant step in the preparation for the new season of the top-tier women's football league in Cameroon.
The Guinness Super League, entering its sixth season, will kick off on Sunday, February 8, 2026. In anticipation of this event, FECAFOOT and its major partner, Guinness Cameroon, officially presented equipment to the 12 participating clubs. The ceremony took place at the technical center in Odza, highlighting the commitment of stakeholders to the development of women's football in the country.
Guinness Cameroon reaffirmed its commitment by providing nearly 600 branded jerseys, 340 balls, 300 sports bags, and 300 travel bags. Additionally, Betpawa, a company specializing in online sports betting, is joining the Guinness Super League as a partner, providing direct financial support to the players. Betpawa will offer locker room bonuses to players, with a special bonus for the winning team in each match, ranging from $35 to $50 per player.
The 2025/2026 season marks a turning point with the absence of Awa Filles de Yaoundé and Caïman Filles de Douala, who were relegated to the lower division. The competition promises to be intense with clubs such as Lekié Football Filles, the defending champion, Authentic de Douala, and FC Ebolowa, all aiming to win the title.
The championship will take place in several cities, including Garoua with promoted side Agai FC, Bamenda with Itabong, and primarily in Yaoundé and Douala, which have the largest number of participating teams. The Guinness Super League continues to generate interest and strengthen women's football in Cameroon, with the support of key partners and the commitment of clubs and players.
