The Littoral Regional Football League, a division of FECAFOOT, will now operate from a building owned by Samuel Eto'o Fils in Douala. This announcement was made by the league's president, Robert Louis Mbekek, during the general assembly on March 13.
Until now, the league had been operating from a modest space within the municipal road department in Douala's first district for over 20 years. Mbekek expressed his satisfaction with the new headquarters: "The president of the Federation has offered us a jewel. We will no longer be at the municipal road department. We are in the president's building which houses Banque Atlantique, next to the CCA... It's ten thousand times better than where we were. The Wouri departmental league will also be housed there".
The building in question, located in Bonanjo, was acquired by Samuel Eto'o in the early 2000s from the company SAGA. The former star striker had planned to install the headquarters of his foundation, Fundesport, there. In February 2025, Eto'o posted images of himself on Facebook in his property with the caption: "A little tour of some of my tenants in Bonanjo. Happiness in sharing".
The construction of a new headquarters for the Littoral league had been a project discussed since Iya Mohamed's presidency at FECAFOOT. The current executive, led by Samuel Eto'o since December 2021, had included this project in its program to modernize local infrastructure, with an estimated budget of 65 million CFA francs. Does this move to an existing building mean the abandonment of the initial construction project? The question remains.
