The Wouri Departmental Football League is actively preparing for the launch of its new season. The general assembly, held on April 29 in Douala, was an opportunity to adopt the season's schedule and discuss improvements to be made.

This meeting, the first since the re-election of the bureau led by Stéphane Foko Kamga, provided an opportunity to review the past season and examine ways to optimize the league's activities. Three new members were introduced, as well as representatives of the new footballers' association, integrated into the general assembly of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

The leaders of the National Association of Cameroonian Footballers (ANFC) presented their action plan. Stéphane Foko Kamga took this opportunity to promote this association, which aims to resolve 72 disputes. He stressed the importance of players being supported, advised and defended, encouraging them to join the ANFC to defend their interests.

The season is scheduled to kick off on May 10, but the venue for the opening match has yet to be determined. Regarding the organization of the season, there will be no major changes, but rather gradual improvements. The aim is to ensure that match schedules are respected and that referees perform better. Novelties such as the pre-season tournament and the Departmental League Cup are postponed to the 2026-2027 season.

The Wouri Departmental League is focusing on continuity and constant improvement to offer a quality football season. Efforts are focused on resolving existing problems and preparing for the future with the introduction of new competitions in the longer term. The 2026-2027 season will bring its share of novelties.
