Racing FC de Bafoussam coach Jean-Jacques Kouossi has been summoned to appear before the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) to explain his recent statements regarding refereeing. This summons follows his team's 1-2 defeat against Bamboutos FC on March 1, 2026, in Mbouda, during the 5th day of the Elite Two championship.

The Transitional Council of Professional Football (CTFP) accuses Kouossi of making defamatory remarks about the refereeing. After the match, the coach expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that "the refereeing distorts the results" and that "a team without money is condemned to die". These statements were perceived as an attack on the integrity of the competitions by the professional football authorities.

Therefore, the CTFP decided to summon Jean-Jacques Kouossi before the homologation and disciplinary committee. He will have to provide evidence to support his accusations, under penalty of sanctions.

This summons comes in a difficult context for Racing de Bafoussam, already weakened by financial and sporting difficulties. The club has also recorded the resignation of its head coach. It should be noted that Kouossi had returned to Racing Club de Bafoussam in November 2025, succeeding Mongo Benjamin. This was his third stint with the club.

The Kouossi affair highlights the existing tensions surrounding refereeing in Cameroonian football and the financial challenges faced by some clubs. The outcome of this summons could have significant implications for the coach and for Racing de Bafoussam.
