Gazelle Football Academy from Garoua saw their journey come to an end in the quarter-finals of the Easter Cup 2026, despite a successful group stage. The team was defeated on penalties by Dauphine Academy, after a 1-1 draw on April 16 at the Reunification Stadium in Douala.
The other teams that qualified for the semi-finals are Kadji Sports Academy (KSA), Léopard de Bertoua and Best Stars de Limbe. KSA won its match against Academy Foot Douala (2-1), Léopard de Bertoua eliminated Aigle Royal de la Menoua (1-0) and Best Stars de Limbe beat APEJES de Mfou (3-2).
The semi-finals, which will take place on April 17, will feature Kadji Sports Academy against Best Stars de Limbe at 1 p.m., followed by Léopard de Bertoua against Dauphine Academy at 2:30 p.m. Placement matches are also scheduled for the same day, with PWD de Bamenda against ANAFOOT at 10 a.m., and EFBC against Colombe du Dja et Lobo at 11:30 a.m.
EFBC (Elite Football Boissons du Cameroun), a major favorite in the competition, was eliminated in the group stage, as was ANAFOOT, finalist in the 2025 edition. This tournament, which began on April 13, attracts many spectators to the Reunification Stadium, taking advantage of the comfort offered by the infrastructure.
Kadji Sports Academy, based in Douala, is a renowned sports academy known for training talented players such as Samuel Eto'o.
