The 2026 Easter Cup is proving to be a challenge for EFBC (Élites du Football Boissons du Cameroun). Considered one of the favorite teams, they find themselves at the bottom of their group after the initial matches.
The team drew (1-1) against Apejes de Mfou this Tuesday, following a defeat against Gazelle de Garoua in their first match on Monday. This start to the competition is arguably the most difficult in EFBC's history in this cup. With one point and a goal difference of -2, EFBC is struggling in Group B. Apejes de Mfou, with a goal difference of 0, is ranked second. Gazelle de Garoua retains the top spot despite not playing any matches today.
In Group A, the leader, Kadji Sports Academy (KSA), drew (0-0) with Léopard de Bertoua. Léopard de Bertoua remains second with one point, while Colombe du Dja Et Lobo is still last after their 3-0 defeat against KSA.
Group B was marked by Academy Foot Douala's victory against ANAFOOT (5-0). Despite this defeat, ANAFOOT, finalist of the previous edition, can still hope to recover. Aigle Royal de la Menoua remains at the top of the standings, followed by Academy Foot Douala.
In the Dauphine Academy group, Monday's winner recorded their first defeat against Best Stars de Limbe (0-1). Best Stars de Limbe takes the first place with 3 points, while PWD de Bamenda, defeated on the first day, is last.
The third day of competition will clarify the situation for several teams, including EFBC. Wednesday's schedule includes the following matches: Aigle de La Menoua – ANAFOOT, Gazelle FA Garoua – APEJES de Mfou, Colombe du Dja Et Lobo – Léopard de Bertoua, and PWD de Bamenda – Best Stars de Limbe. EFBC will need to win their next match to have a chance of qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
