The 2026 Easter Cup Patricia Berthelot will culminate in a final match between Best Stars of Limbe and Léopard Royal of Bertoua. Both teams secured their place in the final after winning their respective semi-finals on Friday, April 17, at the Reunification Stadium in Douala.
Best Stars reached the final by defeating Kadji Sports Academy (KSA) in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time. In the other semi-final, Léopard de Bertoua overcame Dauphine Academy with a score of 1-0.
Dauphine Academy coach Steve Kingue Ewane lamented his players' lack of concentration at the start of the match, which allowed Léopard to take the lead. He also highlighted the good defensive organization and aggressiveness of the Bertoua team, which complicated the task for his players.
For his part, André Kareni Ekoulé, the coach of Léopard de Bertoua, emphasized the commitment, discipline and fair play of his players as keys to success. He also recalled that his team had already eliminated Best Stars in a previous edition of the tournament, then known as the Geremi Njitap Challenge.
The final of the Easter Cup Patricia Berthelot 2026 will take place at 2:30 PM at the Reunification Stadium in Douala. The Easter Cup is considered the largest U18 football tournament in Cameroon, serving as a showcase for young talents in front of international recruiters. The competition is often nicknamed the "Under-18 Champions League".
