Despite the challenges faced, including sanctions and the departure of key players, he believes that the team has regained its balance and is ready to fight for the title.
Speaking on CRTVweb on Thursday, May 7, 2026, Dr. Doko Edjiane emphasized that the initial sanctions imposed on the club following a prestige match were eased after an appeal to the FECAFOOT legal authorities. He also noted that, despite these difficulties, the team's sporting performance remained positive, with victories recorded even during the sanctions period. "La Colombe du Sud is doing well at the moment. It welcomed with satisfaction, and its supporters with joy, the reduction in the level of sanctions," he said.
The Chairman acknowledged that the club had to overcome an adaptation phase following the departure of several important players, which required a rebalancing of the team and the creation of cohesion with the new arrivals. However, he affirmed that this period is over and that Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo is ready to face the challenges ahead. "Today, Colombe has recovered. It has become the Colombe of the Great South that you knew so well before," he concluded.
With displayed determination, Dr. Doko Edjiane reaffirmed his belief that Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo has all the cards in hand to win the title of champion of Cameroon. "La Colombe can still be champion of Cameroon, I even believe that it will be champion," he declared, thus instilling a wind of optimism within the club and among its supporters. During the 2024/2025 season, Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo won the Cameroonian first division championship called MTN Elite One for the first time in its history.
