The Cameroonian company Micasa by MCG Sarl plans to build an industrial unit in Douala, specializing in the production of doors, office furniture, furniture, and modern wooden kitchens. An agreement was signed on February 19, 2026, in Yaoundé with the Investment Promotion Agency (API) for this FCFA 3 billion investment project.

This agreement will allow Micasa by MCG Sarl to benefit from tax and customs exemptions for 5 to 10 years, in accordance with the April 2013 law on incentives for private investment in Cameroon. This law was amended in 2017 and readjusted by an ordinance from the Head of State on July 18, 2025, emphasizing job creation and the processing of local raw materials.

Micasa by MCG Sarl's project is in line with this new dynamic, aiming to transform Cameroonian wood into finished products on an industrial scale. The company plans to create 350 direct jobs in the first phase, and eventually around 1,000 jobs.

This project also aligns with the Cameroonian government's import-substitution policy, which aims to stimulate local production and reduce imports. Since 2023, state budget circulars have prioritized locally made furniture in public procurement. The 2024 finance law introduced a 25% excise duty on imports of certain wood products and furniture, in order to encourage the purchase of local products.

Micasa by MCG Sarl, a Cameroonian company specializing in the design, manufacture, and distribution of modern furniture, aims to provide households and professionals with elegant and functional spaces. The company offers custom-made kitchens and personalized designs, with a commitment to quality and durability. The Douala factory is expected to strengthen Micasa by MCG's ability to meet the growing demand for locally made office and kitchen furniture.
