The new FECAFOOT headquarters will be inaugurated on Sunday, May 13, 2026. Ahead of the event, consultant David Eboutou praised the building, the result of a project that had been stalled for over a decade.
Speaking on Info TV, Eboutou emphasized that the completion of the project is a strong symbol of the efforts made by the federation's current leadership team. According to him, the inauguration will allow football personalities expected in Cameroon to witness the progress made since the arrival of the new management.
"The inauguration of the new Fecafoot headquarters will be an opportunity for the big names in football to come and discover what the new Cameroonian executive at the head of the Cameroonian Football Federation has been able to do in terms of material, logistical and human resources to complete this project, which had been stalled for some thirteen years," said David Eboutou.
Eboutou did not hide his admiration for the infrastructure, which has been visited by several football observers. "It's a real gem for those who have already visited it. Some experts even say that it is now the most beautiful building housing football management in sub-Saharan Africa," he added.
The new FECAFOOT headquarters, located in the Warda district of Yaoundé, is considered a major turning point for Cameroonian football. Initially launched in 2012, the project experienced delays due to land disputes. The completion and inauguration of the headquarters demonstrates the federation's commitment to football development. The offices and meeting rooms will provide better coordination of activities and a more professional working environment for FECAFOOT staff.
FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto'o emphasized in March 2025 the importance of this infrastructure for the professionalization of Cameroonian football. He also expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work. In addition to its functional aspect, the building is intended to be a symbol of pride and renewal for Cameroonian football.
The inauguration of the headquarters is expected to bring together personalities from African and international football, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino. This event underscores FECAFOOT's ambition to revitalize Cameroonian football and strengthen its image on the continental and international stage.
