Yves Clément Arroga has resigned from his position as head coach of Panthère Sportive du Ndé, a club based in Bangangté. The former coach of the Lions A' announced his decision on March 31, ending a collaboration that lasted approximately 15 months.
In his resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of the Board, Gelis Djapom, Arroga expressed his gratitude to the honorary president for the opportunity he had been given to return to work in Cameroon. He thanked the supporters, the traditional leaders of Ndé, and the players for their commitment.
However, Arroga did not mince words regarding the reasons for his departure. He denounced "the lack of understanding, the dictatorship emanating from the PCA and the interference in the technical decisions of the staff," believing that these factors compromised the team's performance. He added that in such a context, it was impossible to achieve results.
In addition to his resignation, Yves Clément Arroga is claiming payment of three months' salary (January, February and March 2026) as well as other bonuses. He is leaving the club accompanied by his physical trainer, Kanou Patou.
Arroga's resignation comes after a draw against Aigle du Moungo and on the eve of a backlog match against Dynamo de Douala. It also comes a few weeks after the appointment of Justin Kamgue as assistant coach, a decision that was seen by some as a preparation for Arroga's dismissal. The club is currently in 9th place in the league, four points above the relegation zone. Arroga joined Panthère Sportive du Ndé in January 2025 with the ambition of elevating the club to the top ranks in Cameroon. He led the team to victory in the Cameroon Cup in 2025 and the Champions Trophy.
The club's financial situation, with salary arrears, raises questions about the internal management and financial stability of the league's teams. Time will tell who will take over from Arroga and how the club will manage the financial challenges ahead.
