The Miss Cameroon Organizing Committee (COMICA) has announced the removal of Josiane Harangada Golonga from her title as Miss Cameroon 2025. This decision, effective since February 25, 2026, follows serious and repeated breaches of contractual obligations on the part of the beauty queen.
According to the official statement released by COMICA, Josiane Harangada Golonga failed to honor her contractual commitments, despite several requests for explanations, warnings, and formal notices. The breaches include unjustified absence from several important official events, disrespectful remarks and attitudes towards the institution and its members, unilateral termination of activities related to her mandate, and the use of a personal manager in violation of contractual clauses. Faced with this silence and refusal to cooperate, COMICA decided to withdraw all rights, privileges, and benefits related to her title.
The first runner-up is now called upon to ensure the continuity of the function and to preserve the image of the Miss Cameroon institution. COMICA reaffirms its commitment to defending the integrity and credibility of the competition, which it considers a symbol of beauty, culture, and values of Cameroon.
This dismissal comes after a period of tension between Josiane Golonga and COMICA. Accusations of contractual breaches had already been made against Miss Cameroon 2025, including a delay at a meeting at the Turkish Embassy, refusal to honor a partnership with Canal 2 International, and the engagement of a personal manager. Josiane Golonga, for her part, had mentioned salary arrears and unauthorized use of her image. The case had even sparked reactions within the Massa community, from which Josiane Golonga originates, which denounced media harassment.
