The Cameroonian Ballon d'Or 2025 ceremony was graced by the presence of Cameroon's First Lady, Chantal Biya, who accepted the invitation of FECAFOOT President, Samuel Eto'o Fils. The event took place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Yaoundé Conference Centre.
Alongside the First Lady were the Director of the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency, Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, as well as Ministers Narcisse Mouelle Kombi and Ernest Ngalle Bibehe, among other dignitaries. Chantal Biya had the honor of presenting Serge Daura, the Ballon d'Or winner, with the keys to his new car, a prize offered to the winner.
Serge Daura, a player for Gazelle FA of Garoua, won the prestigious title of best player in MTN Elite One. He was crowned Cameroonian Ballon d'Or 2025 thanks to an exceptional season. In addition to the title, Daura received a 500m² plot of land and a Jetour 4x4 car.
Serge Daura's coronation rewards a remarkable season in which he finished as top scorer in the Cameroonian championship with 15 goals and top assist provider with 11 assists. Aged 19, he beat Boris Mfoumou (AS Fortuna) and Nsanfeu Konrad (Panthères) to win the title.

The ceremony experienced a brief incident when the Yaoundé Conference Centre was plunged into darkness following a power cut. However, the incident was quickly resolved and the ceremony was able to continue, allowing Serge Daura to receive his award.
The event was also an opportunity to reward other actors in Cameroonian football, including Lys Fraiche Tiwa, Women's Ballon d'Or winner, and Richard Towa, best coach.
Chantal Biya's presence at the Ballon d'Or 2025 ceremony underscores the importance given to sport and football by the Cameroonian authorities.
