The Cameroonian company Labogexp Sarl, specializing in geotechnical studies, engineering, and control, has secured two contracts with the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). These contracts involve conducting geotechnical studies for the future BEAC agencies in Bouar, Central African Republic (CAR), and Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea.

According to an official BEAC document, Labogexp, based in Yaoundé, will carry out these studies on the sites selected to host the new agencies. The company will receive nearly 100 million FCFA for these two lots, out of the three tendered as part of the agency construction project.

Geotechnical studies are a crucial step in ensuring the safety of the location, design, and, ultimately, cost control of real estate projects. Labogexp offers expertise in soil studies, surveys, execution control, and project engineering.

Lot 3 of this call for tenders, concerning the Dolisie agency in the Republic of Congo, was awarded to Lege Engeneering, based in Bangui, CAR, for an amount of more than 72 million FCFA. The Congolese president, Denis Sassou Nguesso, launched the construction of the Dolisie agency in November 2025.

BEAC is planning other real estate projects in the sub-region, including a new national directorate in Yaoundé, studies for an agency in Limbé, a second tower for the headquarters of the central services, training centers, and agencies in Amdjarass (Chad) and Mouila (Gabon).

The distribution of these contracts illustrates the growing importance of sub-regional design offices in BEAC's real estate projects, as well as the key role of upstream engineering services in the conduct of public and semi-public investments.
