The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, has initiated preparations for hosting the International Scrabble Super Masters in Cameroon. A preliminary meeting was held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the ministry's headquarters to discuss the arrangements.
The event, scheduled from March 11 to 15, 2026, will take place in Bona’Anja-Yabassi. This international competition aims to showcase Cameroon on the global sports and intellectual stage.
The preparatory meeting brought together representatives from various partner administrations, including National Defense, External Relations, Communication, the National Gendarmerie, National Security, External Research, and CRTV.
According to Minsep, the Director of High-Level Sports Development provided an update on the ongoing administrative procedures. The President of the Cameroonian Scrabble Federation presented the progress of the overall organization.
By hosting this event, Cameroon aims to demonstrate its ability to organize high-level international competitions and promote intellectual sports. Organizing these International Scrabble Super Masters reflects the government's desire to promote the country on the international stage.
