Cabral Libii, president of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN), has established a Task Force to bring about reforms and innovations within the party. This decision, announced on February 12, 2026, was solidified with the appointment of its members on February 23, 2026.
The Task Force, composed of 74 members, is placed under the authority of the party's Secretary-General and is led by a coordinator, Patrick Mohamed Owona. Timb Sara has been appointed as the general rapporteur of this team. The main objective of this Task Force is to formulate proposals to improve the internal organization of the PCRN, strengthen internal democracy, and prepare the party for the upcoming elections. A final report containing recommendations is expected within 70 days.
Timb Sara welcomed her appointment with enthusiasm and gravity, emphasizing the honor and trust that the party president has placed in her. She stated that she approaches this mission with serene determination and an acute awareness of the political, organizational, and historical issues surrounding it.
She pledged to establish a working method based on intellectual discipline, structured consultation, and the production of precise and actionable strategic deliverables. She also stressed the importance of fostering a demanding and healthy collaborative framework, where each mobilized skill will contribute to building a structured and coherent collective thought.
The PCRN, considered the third political force in Cameroon, won 5 seats in the National Assembly during the 2020 legislative elections. Cabral Libii, a rising figure in the Cameroonian political scene, was elected head of the party in 2019. He was a candidate in the 2018 and 2025 presidential elections.
The establishment of this Task Force demonstrates the PCRN's desire to modernize and prepare for future political challenges.
