Cameroonian forward Bryan Mbeumo, currently playing for Manchester United, admits to experiencing a delicate period after a promising start to the season. With less presence on the field in recent weeks, and without a goal in the Premier League since March 21, 2026, Mbeumo maintains a positive mindset and expresses his determination to come back even stronger.
After transferring to Manchester United in July 2025, Mbeumo had a remarkable start, but his playing time has decreased despite scoring nine goals in the Premier League. His last goal was on March 21, 2026, and since then, he has alternated between starting and substitute appearances.
Mbeumo remains lucid about his season and ambitions. "There have been very good things this season. But there are also aspects to improve. I had a good start to the season, I would say. But every year in my career, I have always come back better than the previous season," he told TheiPaperSport.
The Cameroonian international insists on his constant desire to improve: "Every season, I want to progress. If it hasn't been enough, it can only be better. I have always wanted more, even when everything was going very well. I have always tried to break records".
Mbeumo also expressed his excitement about playing in the Champions League with Manchester United next season. During an episode of the Inside Carrington podcast, he said, "I just can't wait. I know it means a lot for the club and for the fans, so I know it's going to be an unbelievable atmosphere".
Despite his current difficulties, Bryan Mbeumo prefers to highlight the collective dynamic of Manchester United. "I am still happy because, obviously, it has been a very great season, especially collectively. So I think that with work, it can only get better," he concluded. Mbeumo has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 32 appearances in all competitions this season.
Aged 26, Mbeumo joined Manchester United in July 2025 after playing for Brentford, where he greatly contributed to the club's promotion to the Premier League in 2021. Before joining Manchester United, he played 242 matches with Brentford in six seasons. Mbeumo chose to represent Cameroon internationally, making his debut in 2022 and participating in the FIFA World Cup.
