Audrey Moutongo Black is the new Miss Cameroon, succeeding Haranga Golonga Josiane, who was removed from her title. The appointment of Moutongo Audrey Black, who was the first runner-up, was officially announced this Wednesday by the Miss Cameroon Organizing Committee (COMICA), chaired by Ingrid Solange Amougou.
This decision follows the dismissal of Haranga Golonga Josiane by COMICA. The reasons given by the organizers include breaches of contractual obligations, including absences from official events and failure to honor commitments. The committee also mentions Golonga's refusal to attend a final meeting on February 25, 2026.
For her part, Haranga Golonga Josiane accuses COMICA of not honoring its commitments, citing unpaid salary arrears for several months. She has taken action by bailiff's order to assert her rights and claim payment of her arrears. The former beauty queen also accuses the president of COMICA of stigmatization based on her origins, insults and unfounded accusations.
This case has taken a controversial turn, with allegations of communityism and announced legal action. The event has sparked strong reactions on social networks and within the beauty contest community.
Moutongo Audrey Black is from Douala, in the Littoral region. She had been the first runner-up of Miss Cameroon since the election on July 12, 2025 at the Yaoundé Congress Hall. At the election, she stated that her participation in the competition was a step to "inspire, act and represent my community with dignity". She also stressed her commitment to "raise the voice of entrepreneurship in the livestock sector".
In August 2025, Audrey Moutongo Black was received in solemn audience by the King of Bonambela, His Majesty Dr. Louis DIN DIKA AKWA, and Queen Isabelle DIN DIKA, who praised her career and her commitment to social causes.
With this appointment, Audrey Moutongo Black officially becomes Miss Cameroon 2025 and will have Manuella Deutchoua as first runner-up and Atem Noella as second runner-up.
