Young Cameroonian forward Angel Yondjo, who plays for LOSC Lille, may soon make his debut with the Indomitable Lions A team. According to several sources, coach David Pagou is considering calling up Yondjo for the upcoming FIFA Series matches against Australia and China, scheduled for March 27 and 31.
This potential call-up would explain the player's absence from the U23 list for the CAN qualifiers in his age category. The national team's technical staff seems to favor direct integration into Group A, in order to assess his performance in a more demanding international context.
Aged 19, Angel Yondjo joined LOSC Lille in July 2025, signing a long-term contract until 2030. Before joining the French club, he trained at the École de Football des Brasseries du Cameroun. He is a Cameroonian U20 international.
Before potentially joining Team A, Yondjo has already represented Cameroon in the U17, U20 and A' categories. This call-up would mark another important milestone in his journey with the Indomitable Lions.
