André Onana's future may well continue to unfold in Turkey. On loan from Manchester United to Trabzonspor for the 2025/2026 season, the Cameroonian goalkeeper has reportedly expressed his desire to stay in the Süper Lig.
According to several Turkish media sources, the former Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper has given an agreement in principle to continue his adventure in the Turkish league next season. This trend could accelerate discussions between the different parties, especially with Trabzonspor, where he is currently on loan until June 2026.
The president of Trabzonspor had already suggested that the final decision rested mainly on the player's wishes. Onana seems to have clarified his position, thus opening the way for a possible permanent signature in Turkey.
