André Luther Meka, a prominent figure in the ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM), has strongly refuted claims made by some panelists that Cameroon is a "stalled" country.
The alleged reason for this blockage is the extended wait for a cabinet reshuffle, which President Paul Biya announced following his re-election in October 2025.
Meka countered these claims by pointing out that schools are open, civil servants are being paid, hospitals are functioning, and institutions are processing cases. He also highlighted the vibrancy of financial transactions and the dynamism of businesses.
According to Meka, Cameroon is a nation under construction, with banks experiencing "excess liquidity" and increasing investments in "made in Cameroon" initiatives. He cited the construction of police headquarters, regional executive offices, and ministries as evidence of this progress.
He questioned the basis for these statements, which he considers subjective and unfounded, challenging the motivations behind such "love of subjective and unsubstantiated statements".
