Access Bank Cameroon has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Cameroon's national development agenda, following high-level meetings with the Ministries of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) and Finance (MINFI). These meetings served to consolidate collaboration between the bank and the Cameroonian government, with a view to identifying opportunities to support the country's economic priorities.

The Access Bank delegation was led by Seyi Kumapayi, Executive Director in charge of the group's African subsidiaries, accompanied by Patience Melone, Chair of the Board of Directors of Access Bank Cameroon, and other senior executives. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the financial sector and supporting Cameroon's national development strategy.

During the meeting with the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, Access Bank highlighted its contribution to Cameroon's economic resilience, notably through its investments in government securities and its participation in syndicated financing. The bank also identified areas for enhanced collaboration with the government, including financing strategic projects and supporting budgetary stability.

Minister Motaze welcomed the partnership between the government and Access Bank, stressing the vital role of financial institutions in implementing economic reforms and national development priorities. He expressed his satisfaction with Access Bank's continued commitment and welcomed the deepening of this collaboration.

For his part, Seyi Kumapayi stressed the importance of public-private partnerships in strengthening African economies, underlining Access Bank's commitment to supporting African governments through innovative financial solutions and strategic investments. Patience Melone reaffirmed the bank's commitment to actively contributing to Cameroon's economic and financial stability.

The Access Bank delegation also met with the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey, to discuss collaboration prospects aligned with the National Development Strategy 2030 (NDS30). Access Bank reaffirmed its ambition to position itself as a gateway for Africa, facilitating capital flows and supporting sustainable economic growth.

Minister Mey acknowledged the key role of financial institutions in promoting inclusive growth and increased productivity. He stressed the importance of financial inclusion and the role of Access Bank in supporting investment and sustainable growth.
