The 2022–23 Swiss Super League was the 126th season of top-tier competitive football in Switzerland, and the 20th under its current name and format. BSC Young Boys won the championship title, their 16th overall. The season ran from 16 July 2022 to 29 May 2023.
A total of ten teams competed in the league, including nine from the previous season. FC Lausanne-Sport was relegated and replaced by FC Winterthur, the 2021–22 Swiss Challenge League champions. FC Luzern remained in the Super League by winning the Relegation/Promotion play-off.
BSC Young Boys dominated the season, finishing with 74 points. Servette FC finished second with 58 points, followed by FC Lugano with 57 points. FC Luzern and FC Basel completed the top 5. FC Sion finished last and was relegated to the Swiss Challenge League.
Jean-Pierre Nsame of Young Boys was the league's top scorer with 21 goals. Cédric Itten, also from Young Boys, finished second with 18 goals, and Žan Celar of FC Lugano took third place with 16 goals.
The season was marked by high attendance at the stadiums, with a new record of over 2,370,000 spectators. The Swiss Super League adopted the Scottish model, with 33 matches in the first phase, followed by a division into two groups for the final phase. The top six teams fought for the title and European spots, while the others battled to avoid relegation.
The 2022-2023 season was a transition season, as no teams were directly relegated to the Swiss Challenge League. The last-placed team played a relegation play-off against the third team of the 2022–23 Swiss Challenge League. This change came about due to the increase in the number of teams in the Super League from the 2023-2024 season.
