The city of Douala is once again hosting an inter-company sports competition with the launch of the 10th edition of the Champion's League Corporate. The kickoff of this football tournament was held on May 16 at the CICAM stadium.

To mark this anniversary edition, the organizing committee promises a special season, full of emotions and fierce competition. The opening match pitted Orange Cameroon against Area Assurances, two teams that neutralized each other with a score of 0-0. Despite the draw, the match was intense and contested, as confirmed by the captains of both teams.

Wilfried Tcheutchou, captain of Area Assurances, acknowledged the difficulty of the match: "There was a lot of intensity in this match. The opponent was not unworthy. Neither were we. We won all the duels. Our team intends to do better. At the start of the match, we were too confident to the point of neglecting the opponent. It was over time that we realized that we were dealing with a tough nut to crack". His counterpart from Orange Cameroon, Yves Landry Mayag, shared a similar feeling, while displaying his ambition for the final victory. "I am a little sad because we came to take the three points. Unfortunately, we leave with only one point. We played against a very good Area team. Vela had to say that the championship will surely be of good level. We promise the final victory," he said.

This year, Terminal Bois Port de Douala is putting its title back on the line against competitors such as SPN, AGL, Dangote Cement and Neptune Oil. The competition will take place until August 8.

The tournament adopts a championship format with a single pool phase. The top four teams at the end of this phase will compete in the semi-finals, and the winners will compete for the title in the final. Léopaul Tchameni, promoter of Sport Entreprise Partners (SEP), the organizing structure of the Champion's League Corporate, aims to make this 10th edition a memorable event. "10 years is celebrated and there are many things in perspective. We are trying to put the small dishes in the big ones compared to this tenth anniversary," he said.

The Champion's League Corporate, organized by Sport Entreprise Partners, continues to offer companies in Douala a unique platform to promote sport, camaraderie and healthy competition.
